I started getting into it at school watching Tech With Tim’s videos. I began with his Pygame tutorials, and this was what I consider to be my first project in Python.
What I highlight most about this project is how much the world of programming has changed in recent years.
I remember spending at least a couple of weeks struggling with things like: programming object collisions, power-up effects, or wall spawning—I also had much less experience, of course.
Now, with a simple conversation with ChatGPT, you can achieve something twenty times better in a fraction of the time.
In the game, you control a spaceship with the arrow keys to move up or down, while walls appear that you have to dodge. Additionally, there were stars that granted you different abilities, such as passing through walls, doubling speed, or slowing down time.
