This short trip took place in July 2025. Gerês is just across the border from Spain and, although it looks close on Google Maps, the drive feels endless — curves, curves, and more curves.
It’s an incredible and very remote place. There are countless hiking routes that cross spectacular landscapes, many of them ending at natural pools, perfect for a swim at the end of the hike.
